Retail Distribution Review
The FCA is leading a drive to increase professionalism in the industry through the Retail Distribution Review (RDR). One of the ways in which they are doing this is to increase the standard of qualifications advisers and financial planners must have.
Although this only came into force in January 2013, we are extremely proud that our advisers had already attained this requirement.
One of the main advantages of employing the services of an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) is our ability to understand how the various aspects of financial planning overlap. This is then used to formulate a plan considering all of your objectives as opposed to just focusing on individual areas.
Pensions have received a lot of bad press over the last decade; for some pensions is a dirty word and evidence suggests that many of us have not made any pension provision at all. Instead they rely on other investments like the value of their business, home or additional security.
